How world boxing rankings work
Boxing rankings list the leading contenders recognised by each sanctioning body. Use the filters above to compare divisions and follow the route from ranked contender to world-title challenger.
WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO rankings
The major sanctioning bodies publish their own contender lists, so a boxer’s position can differ between organisations. Rankings can change after fights, title eliminators and official updates.
From contender to title challenger
A high ranking can lead to an eliminator or mandatory title opportunity. A unified champion holds belts from more than one major body; an undisputed champion holds all four major belts in the division.
